“Share with God’s people who need help. Bring strangers into your home.” Romans 12:13

As you approach the house, you can hear soft music. It is soothing and draws you towards the sounds. As you get closer, you realize there are several people standing in the living room, a large room, and spilling out into the lush green yard. You feel compelled to join them for there is something about everyone that piques your interest. There seems to be a light about them all, a presence – yes, that’s it – a Presence. Ahhh, it is the Holy Spirit. It is so peaceful here…

God is the author of our Visions for His work. This House is one of those visions.

It is a large house, with many bedrooms. In this house is a spacious living room for prayer and praise; a separate room just for quiet, personal prayer, many bedrooms for those coming to visit the Holyland or for anyone in the community in need of shelter. The yard will be used for various gatherings as the Lord leads.

The main focus of the Hospitality House is to make a place where people can feel comfortable to come anytime for a cup of tea, conversation or prayer; a house where one can enter and feel the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Hospitality House will have several aspects to it:

  • An outreach to the local people in Israel who are in need of a meal, emergency shelter, finding a friend or prayer for their needs. A computer will allow anyone to search for a job or learn a new skill. Many bedrooms will be available and we expect to work with other ministries in Israel to provide for physical needs such as food and clothing.
  • The Holocaust Survivors have been our main focus and this House will minister to them as well. It will be a distribution point for goods as well as organizing visitation to the Survivors in their homes.
  • For visitors who would like to visit the Holocaust Survivors, do hands-on humanitarian aid and plan to tour the Holy Land, this House would be THE place to stay! You would be working on the front lines of a Kindness Outreach to the people of Israel.

We have a possible floor plan of the Hospitality House, with many bedrooms, a large kitchen, and a prayer closet – just so much! These may be the actual plans of the House or it may be the concept. The Lord is in charge of this project as it is His House.

Quite a number of the rooms have been named. Bedrooms such as ‘The Rose of Sharon’, ‘Alabaster Box’, ‘Oil of Gladness’ and ‘Shalom.’ Imagine coming to Israel and staying at the Hospitality House in one of these rooms!

The Judah Praise Room, Loaves and Fishes Kitchen and the Timothy Study are a few more. Outside areas like Solomon’s Porch and Esther’s Garden would give you peaceful rest. It would also provide joy and comfort for the citizens and new immigrants who are suffering with the economic crisis in Israel.

As the Lord tells us in His Word:

“share your food with the hungry…provide the poor wanderer with shelter…” Isaiah 58:7
